Eileen Stachmus Obituary Dianne Eileen Stachmus (Amidon)
She entered her earthly life on Nov. 10, 1947, and entered her eternal life
on Dec. 29, 2023. Dianne was born in Minnesota, Minneapolis, and raised
in Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years,
Julius Jacob Stachmus Jr., her parents David C. Amidon and Dorothy
Amidon, and her brother David C. Amidon Jr..
Dianne is survived by: her brothers Robert Amidon (Luzie) and Daniel
Amidon (Jocelyn), son Jeffrey Alan Stachmus (Kristy), daughter Jennifer
Lorilyn Wood (Christopher), five grandchildren: Christian (Kaitlyn), Gillian
(Conner), Jarrett, Jacob, and Joy, and two great Grandchildren: Marietta
and Natalie, as well numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones, and "adopted
kids."
Dianne graduated from San Jacinto HS, married J.J., and began her family
in 1970. Her employment career in bookkeeping spanned The Houston
Symphony, ALs Formal Wear, and Party Boy. Family was very important to
Dianne, and she loved spending time with all her family, biological and
extended - no one stayed "friends" with Dianne, she was Mom to many
people. Holidays at home with so many people coming and going brought
her great joy.
Diannes love was evident in her giving spirit, giving a joke, a hug, and a
song to anyone who needed it. She loved making people smile and laugh,
even at her own expense and wanted folks to know how much they were
loved. She enjoyed rock and roll from the 60s to today and loved sharing
her latest favorite song/artist - even the rare vocal talent show from a
foreign country.
Dianne enjoyed sharing her life - memories and photos with others - jokes
on Facebook - and spending doing anything together. She was the Drama
Club Mom for both her children and an Honorary Member of the
International Thespian Society. Dianne and J.J. enjoyed their trips,
especially to the many places and countries where he worked. They made
some dear life-long friendships and are blessed by your memories and
warm thoughts.
Psalm 121 - 'I lift my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come
from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He
will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. Indeed, the
Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep. The LORD protects you; the
LORD is a shelter right by your side. The sun will not strike you by day or
the moon by night. The LORD will protect you from all harm; he will protect
your life. The LORD will protect your coming and going both now and
forever."
