Eileen Stock Obituary

Eileen DeVoe Stock, 79 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at her home. She was born in East Orange, New Jersey on April 7, 1946 to the late Albert Sherwood DeVoe and Eileen Margaret Brett DeVoe. Mrs. Stock had made her home in Lake City since 2018. She worked 30 years with AT&T and Lucent. She enjoyed gardening and had won many awards for her vegetables. Mrs. Stock also loved tending to her chickens and giving their eggs to friend and family. She was an avid Kansas City Cheifs and Nebraska Corn Huskers fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, AL DeVoe.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, George Stock of Lake City; three brothers, Brett DeVoe (Remy) of St. Augustine, Dennis DeVoe of Washington, D.C. and Kevin DeVoe (Susan) of Jacksonville; four sisters, Dawn Roddy (Mark) of Virginia, Lois Taylor (Larry) of Lake City, Judith Mock of Middleburg and Noel Olsen (Dave) of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Stock will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Epiphany Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S US Hwy 441, Lake City, FL 32025. Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com.
