Eileen Swartz

Eileen passed away at the age of 72 after a long illness. Eileen was a 42-year employee of Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) and retired in 2014. She continued her relationship with many co-workers as an active member of the CCP retiree association. Eileen loved her time at the college and had many fond memories of time spent with her co-workers. Eileen was also a board member and active in the only remaining small synagogue in South Philadelphia, Congregation Shivtei Yeshuran Ezras Israel. In many respects, she was responsible for the survival of this congregation. Eileen had a passion of animals of all types. She thought of her cats as family members. Eileen is survived by her brother, Mark and his wife, Beth Swartz and their children, Scott and Jason Swartz.
