In Loving Memory of Eileen Marie Trapp
Eileen Trapp, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in Colorado at the age of 77. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to loving parents, John and Ethel Mayer, in December of 1946. Her father worked tirelessly at a meat processing plant to provide for his family, while her mother devoted her days to raising Eileen and her siblings, a brother, Jack, and two sisters, Nancy and Tina.
In her early twenties, Eileen ventured west to Colorado with her first husband and young daughter seeking new opportunities and adventures.
Eileen's devotion to her daughter knew no bounds. She worked tirelessly, ensuring that her daughter had the love, support, and opportunities she needed to flourish. Her daughter was the center of her universe, and she poured her heart and soul into being the best mother she could be.
Later in life, Eileen found the love of her life and married, Thomas J. Trapp, beginning a new chapter filled with happiness and companionship. Together, she and Tom enjoyed a blissful life, surrounded by the beauty of nature that Eileen cherished so deeply. Her passion for gardening, birdwatching, and fishing brought her immense joy and solace throughout her life. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship, bringing light and warmth into Eileen's life.
Eileen was a fighter, and she faced her battle with leukemia for 23 years with courage and grace. Despite the challenges, she remained positive and strong, inspiring all who knew her with her resilience and determination.
Eileen will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering strength, her bright beautiful smile, her thoughtful sweet spirit, and her love for the simple pleasures of life. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished forever.
She is survived by her loving husband Tom, adoring daughter Julianna, devoted grandchildren, beloved nieces and nephew and a host of friends and family who will miss her dearly. Though she may be gone, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her unwavering love and kindness.
A celebration of Eileen's life will be held at Residence Inn Denver/Aurora 2600 S. Abilene Aurora, Co 80014 on September 7th, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Flowers are welcome to be sent to that address as well.
Till we meet again, dear Eileen. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
