Eileen Margaret Ann McDonald Woolbert
Eileen Woolbert, of Seaford, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 6, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 81 years old.
Eileen was born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, on March 18, 1943, to the late Edward and Rita (Mounier) McDonald. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1961, and married Larry Wayne Woolbert, Sr., in 1963 at Sacred Heart Church in Vineland, New Jersey. After starting a family and traveling extensively around the country, Eileen left New Jersey with her husband and young children and settled in Walpole, New Hampshire.
Once Eileen's five children were grown and she was no longer managing the family's businesses, she returned to the outside workforce as a bookkeeper, editor, and office manager at Stillpoint School of Integrative Life Healing, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Eileen always loved gardening, playing piano and giving lessons, singing in choirs, reading, boating on nearby rivers, cuddling with the family cat, keeping a beautiful home, and spending time with her extended family. Upon retiring, Eileen and her husband relocated to a riverfront home in Seaford, Delaware, where she continued pursuing her passions. A devout Catholic, Eileen was very active in local churches over the years, teaching catechism classes and serving as a lector and eucharistic minister during mass. She also frequently volunteered in community outreach programs, most recently as treasurer for the local chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Eileen was survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Larry Wayne Woolbert, Sr.; her children Sheri and her husband (Tony Ruiz), Kevin and his wife (Theresa) and their children, Terry and his wife (Heather) and their children, Shelley and her husband (Erik Wasklewicz) and their children, and Larry II. She is also survived by her brothers, David McDonald and his fiancée (Fran), and Dennis McDonald and his wife (Anna), and their children.
