Eileen Rose Yannayon, 73, of Lamar, passed away on Monday February 5, 2024 at Cox Barton County Hospital.
She was born May 23, 1950, in Ethridge, TN to Bernard and Lina Mazelin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Martha. She is survived by two sisters, Rosalyn Mazelin and Julia Mazelin and three brothers, Harvey (Mary Anne) Mazelin, Robert Mazelin, and Herman Mazelin.
On December 23. 1975, Eileen was united in marriage to Yon Yannayon in Lynchburg, TN. Yon died from cancer on April 27, 2001.
She is survived by two sons: Charles (Amanda) Yannayon and Arthur Yannayon: two daughters, Adina (Jonathon) Coblentz and Judy (Jacob) Good. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan. Who died in 1996 from AML leukemia.
She was a loving grandmother to fourteen grandchildren. She really enjoyed her garden and always had the most beautiful flowers. She enjoyed working for Erick and Erica Burton in their home for over twenty years. Their two boys Conner and Evan, were very special to her. In the last few years since her cancer diagnosis, she baked many cookies to sell at Sunny Gardens.
She accepted Christ as her Savior in her youth and served Him faithfully throughout her life. Her faithful example was an inspiration to many. She enjoyed her church family and was a member of the Golden City Mennonite Fellowship Church.
The family wants to thank everyone for the support and encouragement that was shown through the many prayers, and food during mom's passing.
A visitation will be held on Thursday February 8, 2024 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday February 9, 2024 at the Golden City Mennonite Fellowship in Newport, MO.
