Eileen Yurgel

Eileen Yurgel, 66 of Floral Park, New York, passed away peacefully on February 25th 2026.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother , daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Born in Queens, New York, on September 13th 1959, Eileen was the daughter of John and Rose McGreevy and sister to Rena, Mary, Patrica and Caroline. In 1982, she married her beloved husband, Michael Yurgel. Together they raised three children: Melissa (Mora), Michael Sean, and Bridget. She was a proud grandma to Caroline and Aidan, and a loving mother-in-law to Edwin and Samantha. Eileen was also a cherished sister-in-law to Margaret, Teri, Victor, Luis, Kim, Pete and Joey. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was a proud nurse who dedicated her life to taking care of others for twenty years.

Eileen enjoyed spending her time watching General Hospital, Judge Judy, and The Real Housewives. She loved to dance especially to her favorite 70s songs with her friends and family at celebrations.

Summers were often spent at Arrow Park in Monroe, New York, The Hamptons and Cape Cod where countless memories were made with family and friends.

Eileen was known for her generous and caring nature , her sense of humor and her ability to make those around her feel special. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
