Elaine Kathryn Anne (Kusako) Hoben, 82, of Fairfield, CT died peacefully on December 7, 2022 in Medway, Massachusetts
Born in Connecticut, on September 26, 1940, Elaine was the only child of the late William and Helen Kusako.
A graduate of Milford High School in CT, Elaine went on to earn a bachelors from Syracuse and a masters degree in music from Yale. In later years, she went back to school to earn a PhD in psychology from Yeshiva University. She practiced as a clinical psychologist specializing in chronic pain management and later worked as a medical writer before retiring. She lived in Fairfield for over 40 years.
Elaine was an avid reader and master gardener. She read several books per week and was able to bring back any orchid or exotic flower from the brink. She enjoyed finding hidden treasures during her many antiquing excursions. Elaine loved to travel the world and especially loved being near the ocean. Wellfleet Cape Cod was one of her favorite places.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Keim and her husband Mark of Nantucket, MA and her 2 sons Michael Hoben and his wife Ashley of Trumbull, CT and Brad Hoben and his wife Michele of Medway, MA. She was also blessed with 7 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in her honor at Spear-Miller
Funeral Home 39S Benson Road, Fairfield, Connecticut on December 21st, 2022 at 11:00a.m.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00a.m.
In lieu of gifts, donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215 or the Parkinson's Foundation, www.parkinson.org.
