Elaine Barrett

Elaine Barrett (nee Kranicki) passed away peacefully at her home on November 12, 2025 at the age of 73. She was born on September 27,1952 and raised in the heart of South Philadelphia at 3rd and Dickinson Street. She attended St. Stanislaus for grade school and went on to graduate from St. Maria Goretti High School, where she created memories and friendships that stayed with her throughout her life.
Elaine was the proud mother of four really handsome sons - Billy, Kevin, Craig, and Michael - and the loving grandmother of nine grandchildren who meant the world to her.
One of Elaine's greatest joys was coaching her sons' little league baseball teams at Delaware Valley (DV). Alongside close family friend Coach Joe Figs, she brought her spirited, fun-loving energy to every game. People adored Elaine for her "good kind of crazy" - her big personality, her humor, and the way she would light up the baseball diamond by arguing balls and strikes.
Some of Elaine's most treasured memories with the boys are the two unforgettable Disney World vacations they took when all the Barrett boys were very young and later in life when a dear family friend took them on all exclusive trip of a lifetime
The trips were filled with laughter, excitement, and the kind of Disney magic that Elaine always talked about for years to come. Before retiring, Elaine worked as a property manager for over ten years, a role where her strong personality, straightforward kindness, and dedication made her stand out. In retirement, she enjoyed the simple things she loved most: cheering on the Eagles and Phillies, spending time with family and friends, and going to the casino to play those slots with her mother Rita, who passed away in 2023.
Elaine will be remembered for her love, her humor, her passion for her family, and her unforgettable spirit. Her presence made life brighter, and her memory will continue to warm the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation and Funeral, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from the Rogers Funeral Home, Inc., 1426 South 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147 after 9 AM followed by her Religious Service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
