Of Lackawanna, NY January 5, 2026. It is with great sadness in our hearts that we relate the unexpected passing of our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend at the age of 77. Elaine will be forever missed by her loving, cherished husband, Jack, of 57 years; her favorite, beautiful, creative, hard working, yet fun loving daughters, Debbie (Don) Becker, Michelle (Andy) Messina and Lisa Chentfant; her fabulous, creative, witty grandchildren Brittney (Chad) Carlson, Matthew, Anthony, Sophia and two bonus grandchildren Colton and Cara and a great grandson Levi; Elaine was pre deceased by her parents Joseph and Sonia (Wrobel) Halizak; she is also survived by her siblings, Joseph (Shirley) Halizak, Barbara (John) Crosta and the late Diane (Walter) Sopicki. Family will be present to receive friends Thursday from 3-7 pm at the (Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC. 3450 South Park Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 am at Queen of Angels Parish 144 Warsaw St. Lackawanna, NY 14218. (Please assemble at Church). Elaine was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of Queen of Angels Parish, the Matthew Glab Ladies Auxiliary, Queen Bee of the Crimson Chicks Chapter of the Red Hat Society and a former writer for the WNY Bingo Bugle for 14 years. Elaine was the best friend a girl like me could have. We have been friends for over 60 years and we shared so much of our lives together, duing good times, bad times, sad times and happy times. Anyone who knew Elaine knows the comfort she gave while she was spending time with you or just getting to know you. She has been a "Special Friend" to me my whole life. I am truly going to miss her terribly. We have shared so many wonderful memories together. She will always be in my heart and I will always talk about her when out with friends and family. She is now my angel friend in heaven. My deepest condolences go out to her husband Jack, her daughters, Debbie, Michelle and Lisa. She was a wonderful wife and mom. May she rest in peace and be that special angel to all of us. I will you my "FOREVER FRIEND".
