Elaine P. Erdman (nee Jarmolinksi) was born on March 12, 1934, in Chicago, to Joseph and Mary Jarmolinski and passed away at age 91, peacefully on November 13th, 2025, after a battle with heart disease and dementia.
Elaine was raised in Chicago's Kilbourn Park neighborhood and graduated from Holy Family Academy. After obtaining her Administrative Certificate, she was introduced on a blind date to Rod in 1954 and they were married for 65 years. Elaine was a long-time Inventory Specialist and retired from A. H. Robins, was a long-time parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis of Assisi in Orland Park, and she enjoyed flower gardening, knitting, feeding the birds, cooking & baking, doing her word search games, and especially providing care, love, and support, to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Elaine was the beloved Wife of the late Rod J. Erdman. Devoted Mother of Kim Tannehill and Dale (Margaret) Erdman. Cherished Grandmother of Jennifer (Sal), Tina (Judeh), Eric (Tulika), Sarah (Mike) and Rachel. Adored Great Grandmother of Alexis, Mark, Isabella, Giavanna, Malik, Mazin, Ayah, Alina, Makayla, Shanti, Zack, Isaiah, Gionni, Alessandro, M.J., Ana and Julie. Proud Great, Great Grandmother of Cali, Caden, Luca and Enzo. Preceded in death by her Siblings, Daniel (Marie), Rita (Kirk), and Silvia. Dear Sister-In-Law to Sylvia's husband Gene. Caring Aunt of many Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation is on Sunday, November 16th, from 2-7 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, at 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL.
Funeral service is on Monday with a procession for those wanting to join, starting at 9:45 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home to St. Francis of Assisi Church,15050 S. Wolf Rd., Orland Park, IL, with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Interment follows at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 16201 S. 1104th Ave., Orland Park, IL, with a gravesite burial for immediate family.

Attendees are welcome to join the family for a luncheon following the services.
