Elaine N. Looby

Elaine N. Looby (nee Papa), a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at the age of 72.
Elaine was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was the epicenter of her world, and she embraced her role as a hardworking single mom with unwavering dedication. Elaine's resilience and love shaped the lives of her beloved son, Eric Rupisan, and his wife, Rachael Glashan Rupisan, as well as her cherished step-daughter, Kanika Looby. Her legacy of love continues through her adored grandchildren, Tessa and Jack Rupisan, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life.
Elaine is survived by her caring brother, John Papa and his wife, Maryann. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph (survived by sister-in-law Michelle) and Lisa Papa, leaving behind a family that will forever remember her fondly. She will also be missed by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was a woman who faced life's challenges with grace and determination, never wavering in her commitment to her family. Her strength and warmth were evident to all who knew her, and her ability to cherish every moment spent with her loved ones was truly exceptional.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday January 17th from 1-2 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt.73 South, Marlton, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
