It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eula Elaine Morrow, whose dynamic spirit touched many lives. More than just a mother and friend, she was also a devoted wife and a cherished sister. Elaine was bold and outspoken, yet she possessed a soft heart that endeared her to all who knew her. She left this earthly world on December 24, 2024, in Bruceville, Texas.

Elaine was born on July 12, 1943, in Big Spring, Texas, to Gordon and Loyce (Happy) Hickman. From a young age, she exhibited the strength and confidence that would define her as a remarkable woman and a source of inspiration for all who knew her. She met the love of her life, Kenneth Morrow, on a blind date. They married on July 26, 1960, embarking on a beautiful journey filled with love and devotion. She finished school and graduated from Coahoma High School in 1961.

As a mother, Elaine was a pillar of strength and support, raising her twin daughters, Kerrie and Terrie, born on April 22, 1962, with unwavering love and guidance. Her nurturing spirit and endless compassion defined her, and her love truly knew no bounds.

Elaine pursued her passion for nursing with dedication, obtaining her LPN degree before advancing to the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas, under the Challenge Program. She followed in her mother's footsteps by becoming a Registered Nurse and later earning her bachelor’s degree. Her career spanned over 60 years, during which she served in various roles, from bedside nursing to leadership positions as Director of Nurses for inpatient units and skilled nursing facilities. She retired as an RN in 2020, at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy of compassionate care and exemplary service.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her daughter Terrie Jan Morrow Purvis. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Kenneth, her cherished daughter Kerrie Mullins, her beloved granddaughters Chrissy and Casey as well as two great grandsons, two great granddaughters, two sisters and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Elaine's enduring spirit and the love she shared so generously on Saturday, December 28, 2024. We invite her friends and family to remember her for the laughter, the song, and the good life she lived. As a beloved branch of our family tree, she leaves us with the comforting reminder, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong.”

In her final hours she spoke of flip flops, sand and getting a sunburn as she was getting ready to head to her happy place on the beach.
