Elaine Mozden Obituary
Born January 10, 1932 to the late Alfred F. Grandbois, Jr., and Louise Jenne Grandbois.
She is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth Ahart (Mark) and son George Crochiere (Sarah) and grandchildren, Albert and Martha Ahart and Kirk and Gavin Crochiere. Sister, Judith Perault and sister, Sandra Zarn, who provided wonderful evening care for Elaine, and many nieces and nephews; as well as her constant companion of 19 years, Brandy Cat.
She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 996. In earlier days, she served as a Girl Scout Leader in the town of Becket.
She is a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Community.
Predeceased by husbands, Albert Crochiere and Stephen Mozden; daughter Joanne Barber, brothers Richard, Robert and Alfred Grandbois III.
Our family would like to thank the team from HospiceCare in the Berkshires and her caregiver Laurie from Molari for their outstanding care and compassion during her last days.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in North Becket Cemetery. Calling hours will be held, Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St., Dalton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to HospiceCare in the Berkshires and mailed to the funeral home.

Elaine, you will be sadly missed as our best friend and neighbor. We had alot of great times talking about the different birds at our feeders and the deer we seen by your home and all the wildlife.
You and Sandy shared some awesome soups and cookies for us as we sent some goodies your way also.
I always enjoyed the wave thru the bay window when I was snowblowing to make sure if you needed medical, they could get thru.
You know Brandy cat was one of my favorites also, I'm sure he's sad as well.
Beth, thank you for all that you did for me every year for knowing that as long as joanne and I were here we tried to comfort your mom so she wouldn't worry and let her know we're here for her day or night.
Beth and family we're so sorry.
God bless you Elaine, you can rest now , and again thank you for Being our best friend and neighbor, it was surely our honor......

Beth and family. So sorry to hear of moms passing. I only new her for a short time when I was her companion through my work, molari. She was very nice to me and we had a lot of laughs and we both thought Brandi was the best . She will be missed. Rip Elaine
