Elaine Beverly Podlogar of North Huntingdon passed away at home with close family on Friday, August 15th at the age of 70. Elaine lost her 2.5 year battle with kidney cancer.

Elaine was born 12/20/1954 in Warren, Ohio to Keith and Betty Smith. Elaine graduated from Joseph Badger School in 1973. Elaine was a manager at Denny's in Irwin for 19 years and went on to be a food service director for The Nutrition Group, before retiring.

Elaine enjoyed traveling (beach), golfing, bowling, playing cards, spending time with friends and families, and going to her grandkids games.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Anthony Podlogar (married for 50 years), her daughter Christine and her husband Tim, and their two sons (Dylan and Dax), her other daughter Nicole and her husband David, and their two children (Ava and Reid). Elaine is also survived by her siblings Keith Smith, Cedelia Longley, Clyde Smith and Margie Smith.

Elaine wanted a celebration of life. This will be planned for family and close friends at a later date.

I am so sad to hear this. I had the pleasure of working with Elaine at Nutrition. She was a wonderful person and will be missed dearly. My sympathy goes to her family.
