Elaine Page Townsend passed away peacefully, at age 91, on February 6, 2024 at the Beaumont Assisted Living Center, Bountiful, Utah. She had been quite active physically until October 2023.

 

The daughter of Willard Eugene Page and Delora Marie Hansen Elaine was raised on a farm in West Point, Utah with eight brothers and sisters.  She grew up in a loving, kind, humble and very small home with parents that she described as “very special”.  During her childhood in the 1930’s the country was in severe depression and several children would sleep in one bed.  The toilet facilities at the time were an ‘out house’.  They received indoor plumbing, and an indoor restroom when she was 12 years old.  She loved and adored her brothers and sisters throughout her life, who meant so much to her.   The Pages were a tight knit family group which supported each other at baby blessings, baptisms, mission farewells, weddings, Christmas parties, Thanksgiving gatherings and family reunions.

 

Elaine married Des Townsend and raised four children, Steve, Randy (Julie), Debbie, Kim (Robyn).  She was a hardworking, very devoted mother that loved and cared for her children all through her life.  Elaine had great faith and testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ. She had a very kind heart, a positive attitude, and a beautiful smile that was welcoming to all.   She will be dearly missed.

 

She is survived by her children, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.  She was the last surviving child of her sibling.

 

The celebration of her life will be 11:00 am, Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah, visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 -11:00 am prior to the celebration.
