Elaine G. Trone

Elaine G. Trone, age 91, of Hanover, passed away at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover on January 17, 2026.

Elaine was born in Hanover, PA on November 29, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Kenneth B. and Carlyn E. (Sterner) Trone. She graduated from Delone Catholic High School Class of 1952 and received her nursing training from St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster. Elaine worked as a registered nurse at Hanover Hospital and later for Dr. James Miller. She was also a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover where she was on the Parish Council of Catholic Women and volunteered as a greeter at the Saturday evening Mass.

Elaine is survived by numerous loving cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Rd., Hanover, PA 17331. Interment will follow the Mass at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM prior to the Mass in the narthex of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
