Elaine “Lane” Groomes – Williams was born on October 13, 1946, to the late parents, Clifton & Elizabeth Groomes in Donalsonville, Georgia. She answered the voice of the Lord on October 9, 2025. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Elaine was a high school graduate of Seminole High School, and she earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant from Kerr Business College.
Elaine dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and compassionate heart touched the lives of countless patients, friends, and family members. She was known for her warm smile, her love of gospel music, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and heard.
Elaine was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She found joy in family gatherings, Sunday worship, and sharing stories that carried wisdom and laughter. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and grace will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
