Elbridge Jambard

Elbridge Jambard, 93, of Marlborough and formerly of Newington, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026. He was born in Van Buren Maine to the late William and Emma (Roy) Jambard.

Elbridge proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years during the Korean War. He was a devoted 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus and found great joy in life's simple pleasures, including fishing, hunting, gardening, and, most especially, spending time with his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Florence M. Jambard, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and lasting memories.

He leaves behind his loving children, Eileen Griffin, Brenda Ritcher and her husband Stuart, Michael Jambard and his wife Joanne, Cindy Sampson, and Laurie Rizzo and her husband Mark. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Shaun, Nicole, Jennifer, Alanna, JT, Caitlyn, and Julia, as well as his great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kaia, Freya, Elbridge, Ashton, Kasen, Johnny, and Clark.

Elbridge is also survived by his brothers, Leo, Gilman, and Nelson Jambard. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Holly and Hartford HealthCare Hospice, and especially to his compassionate care giver, Wendy Robertson, for the exceptional care, kindness, and support she provided.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Homes, 20 Bonair Avenue, Newington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Newington. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at West Meadow Cemetery, 679 Willard Avenue, Newington.
