STEELE CITY - Eldean Michael Banahan, 94 of Steele City, Neb. passed away November 28, 2024, at Gardenside LTC in Fairbury. He was born on a farm near Steele City on May 6,1930 to Geroge and Rose (Malady) Banahan.

Eldean attended District #88 country School and was a graduate of Steele City High School in 1947. He also attended Fairbury College after graduating. As a youth, Eldean enjoyed 4-H by raising and showing cattle. Eldean was a lifetime farmer and cattleman. He loved farming and enjoyed improving the land. He loved to travel and had conversations with everyone he could talk to.

Eldean married Norma Weers on August 11, 1957. To this union three children were born, Michael, Kevin and Jeanette.

Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Rose Banahan; daughter, Jeanette Banahan in 2021; brothers, John Dale and Donald; sisters-in-law, Angie Weers and Laura Mae Grone.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Norma of 67 years; sons, Michael (Karla Hay, fiancé) and Kevin; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Leola) Weers and Robert Weers; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Services will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Diller with Pastor Mark Liscom officiating. Burial in the Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials will go to the Family's choice.
