Elder Gary Alton Lowe

Elder Gary Alton Lowe, age 81, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on February 7, 1944, in Surry County to the late Samuel and Lucy Norman Lowe. He was a loving husband and father who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Elder Lowe faithfully served the Lord for over 35 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Deborah Joyce Lowe; daughters, Penny Lowe, Patricia Lowe; sons, Jonathan Lowe, Joshua Lowe and John Lowe; grandchildren, Matthew Lowe, Mark Lowe, Katara Kemp (Ty), Aaron Olvera, David Lowe (Tori Grainger), Myla Lowe, Noah Lowe; four great-grandchildren; brother, Allan Lowe (Sherri). In addition to his parents Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Blevins Lowe; grandchildren, Lance Corporal Lucas Gary Lowe, Kai Reynolds; brother , Johnny Lowe; stepfather, Grover Lowe. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Stewarts Creek Primitive Baptist Church with services conducted by Elder Avery Branch, Elder Rodney Marshall, and Elder Jimmy Joyce. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 12:30 PM until time of the service at Stewarts Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Mt. Airy.
