Eldon Eugene Fagan

Eldon Eugene Fagan, age 86, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
Born in 1939 in California, Eldon spent most of his adult life in Southern Oregon, where he built a life centered on family and his work, and developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He also served for several years in the Army National Guard.
Eldon was well-loved by those who knew him. A hardworking man at heart, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, time spent outdoors, and the companionship of his dogs. Though he appreciated the outdoors, he was happiest at home and lived a simple, quiet life.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marcia Fagan; his daughters Cathy Thompson (Doug) of Eugene, Michelle Schmidt of Central Point, Lisa Weathers of Medford, and Mardi Mahar (Joe) of Bend; and his stepdaughter Sheila Rude (Jessica) of Shelton, Washington. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Tyler Fagan (Allison), Taylor Ray (Kos), Tejay Schmidt, and Hannah Thompson, and four great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters, Annie Patzke of Klamath Falls and Nan Franklin of Medford, along with their families, as well as the children and grandchildren of his late brother, Billy "Bill" Fagan.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Conger Morris. A Celebration of Life honoring Eldon will be held on Saturday, February 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Butte Creek Mill, located at 402 North Royal Avenue in Eagle Point, Oregon. All who knew and loved Eldon are welcome to attend and celebrate his life with family and friends.
