Eldon Muhr Obituary

Eldon was born August 24, 1960 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Eldon W. and Eva M. (Blow) Muhr. He grew up in Banner County and graduated from Banner County High School in 1978.
On January 28, 1979, Eldon married the love of his life, Thelma L. Ward in Dayton, Wyoming.
Eldon farmed through 1988 when he then went to work for Jirdon Fertilizer Co. In 1999 he went to work for K&K Farms and stayed there until 2015 when he began working for Jespersen farms in Hemingford. Eldon retired in 2023 due to health concerns.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and smoking meats. Eldon will be remembered for his strong work ethic and the kindness he showed to everyone around him.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Muhr of Hemingford; son, John Muhr of Hemingford; his mother, Eva Muhr of Morrill, Nebraska; brothers, Gene (Kathy) Muhr of Morrill, Nebraska and Glenn (Lori) Muhr of Beatrice, Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Janet Woodworth of Alliance, Nebraska and Connie (Rick) Hilliker of Gordon, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, William Muhr.
A celebration of Eldon's life will be held at a later date. Memorials in his honor may be given to Brookestone Hospice, 150 W. 24th Street, Suite, 100, Alliance, Nebraska, 69301.
