Eldon A. Yoder, a devoted family man, passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on May 24, 1942, Eldon graduated from Navarre High School and dedicated himself to a career as a truck driver for over 40 years before retiring. Throughout his distinguished career he earned several safe driver certificates and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. He is also survived by his daughter Lori Petty and three sons: Steve (Kim) Yoder, Bob (Jill) Yoder, and Shawn Yoder. He will be remembered lovingly by his brother, Henry (Nadyne) Yoder, and a large extended family that includes many sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Eldon's jovial personality and warm spirit were trusted constants in the lives of those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew J. Yoder and Sarah A. Yoder, and by his siblings: brothers, Norm Yoder, Earl Yoder, and Joe Yoder; and sisters, Lizzie Ann Yoder, and Mabel Isenschmid. Eldon’s legacy is one of love, strength, and compassion, cherished by all who knew him.
