He was preceded in death by his father, Eldred Leon Purcell, Sr.,.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife since 1982, Pat Purcell; mother, Juby Smith; sisters, Annette Curtis, Jane Phillips, sister, Michelle No; brother, James Daryl Crawford; family members, Mary Ann Bartley, Anita Vance, Amanda Hillman, Emily Vance, Andrew Bartley, Anna Vance, Alexis Knight, Tyler Hillman, Dak Bartley, Benny Drew, Eugene and Ricky Sharp, Betty Spencer; and his dog, Sammy.
Leon was loved deeply by his family and friends.
A memorial service with military honors will be announced at a later date.. Fielden Funeral Home is honored to serve the Purcell Family.
