It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eleanor Louise Alexander, who died on March 6, 2026, at the age of 73. Eleanor was born on September 4, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Jerome and Mary (née Poorman) Schutte.
Eleanor was known for her warmth, kindness, and her easy ability to make friends wherever she went. She had a welcoming smile and a gentle spirit that drew people to her. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball and expressing her creativity through ceramics. She also loved to travel and treasured the many friendships and memories made along the way.
Faith was an important part of Eleanor's life. A longtime parishioner of St. Andrew Catholic Church, she lived her Catholic faith with sincerity and devotion, finding comfort and strength in prayer and celebrating the sacraments with the parish community.
Eleanor is survived by her loving siblings: Anna (the late Joe) Bauer, Tina (Gary) Klaus, Tom (Tammy) Schutte, and Tim (Marcy) Schutte. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will remember her with love.
Along with her parents and brother-in-law Joe Bauer, Eleanor was preceded in death by her brothers, David Schutte and Michael Schutte.
A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM - St. Andrew Catholic Church - 552 Main St, Milford, OH 45150.
