Eleanor was one of nine children. She thought about her family and friends all the time. When the families were younger they would have family reunions with huge potlucks, and of course anyone was welcome. She always had a pot of coffee on.
A wife, a mother, an aunt, a sister, a grandmother and great-grandmother and a dear friend who listened.
Immediate surviving children sons Gary (Susan) of Yacolt; Thomas of Vancouver; Ken (Lisa) of Washougal and daughters Helen of Vancouver; and Carol Blohm of La Center.
There are surviving stepchildren scattered across the U.S. Multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with countless nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was not one to stay still. She was very proud of being a member of the Brush Prairie Baptist Church. She volunteered and helped out wherever needed. Being involved with even more kids through the King's Daughters and the Awana's Club. Then for many years with the Golden Heirs.
Eleanor took a pastry class at Clark College and decorated cakes for people. She liked going hunting and camping with family and friends, music and ballroom dancing, old time fiddlers was also enjoyed.
She worked with the Grange putting the booths together for the Clark County Fair.
She enjoyed ceramics and sewing making clothes for all of us and patching and fixing zippers.
When the kids were small she worked late making sure our shoes were polished and set by the heatstove for church.
Eleanor made many large meals at numerous times which also included a table full of pies.
She liked going hunting and camping with family and friends, music and ballroom dancing, old time fiddles was enjoyed also.
In latter years enjoyed working on puzzles and shopping with her stepdaughter Dori & Chloe & travel & cruises with Charles.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 11 years Charles Andersen; her parents; siblings; nephews; nieces; cousins; her son Michael Bruley and previous husband of 39 years Bud.
For the past year and a half she had enjoyed movie nights and live bands along with choir groups that visited at Polly's Country Adult Family Home.
With family around her, she slipped quietly into peace; Saturday night September 21, 2024.
