Of Hyannis, formerly of South Boston and Dorchester, entered into eternal rest on March 30, 2024.
Elle lived a wonderful life and loved her family with all her heart. She married her childhood sweetheart, Francis “Ed” Barry in 1964. She was a devoted mother to Edward Barry and his wife Katy of Watertown, Mary Foster and her husband Bryan of Marshfield, and the late Trooper Paul Barry and his late wife Maryellen of Franklin.
Cherished Grammy to her twelve grandchildren, Hannah Barry, Nicholas Barry, Christopher Barry, Emily Barry, Ali Barry, Colin Barry, Griffin Foster, Chloe Foster, Michaela Barry, Cordelia Foster, James Barry, and Elizabeth Barry.
Great Grammy to Raya Kelleher.
Dear sister to Jack Dwyer, Rosemary Darling, Phillip Dwyer, Jane Rutstein, and Robert Dwyer. Sister-in-law to James Rutstein. Lifetime best friend to Theresa King of Bridgewater.
Family and friends will honor and remember Elle’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mark Church, 1725 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester, on Monday morning, April 8th, at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elle’s memory may be made to The Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon St., Watertown, MA, 02472, or at www.perkins.org.
