Eleanor L. Carrigan

Eleanor Louise Carrigan,82, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 15, 2025 at her home in Kennebunk surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 17,1942 in Lowell, MA, the daughter of Fredrick F. and Dorothy E. (Bolton) Cathcart. She was raised in Lowell, MA, and attended Lowell High School where she was a girl officer and went on to Bay State College. She worked in the medical field managing many physicians' offices.
Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband, John "Jack" Carrigan; her sister, Sandra Tripoli from Plymouth, MA; her sister, Jessie Price of Lowell, MA; her son-in-law, William Stuart of Portsmouth, NH; and her brother-in-law, Theodore Baker of Poughkeepsie, NY.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Colleen Stuart of Portsmouth, NH; her three grandchildren, Cevo Vultaggio of Portland, OR, Stephen Vultaggio and his fiancé, Kay Craft, of Atlanta, GA, and Ryan and Melissa Vultaggio of Lynnfield, MA; her sister, Brenda Baker of Rhinebeck, NY; her brother, Fredrick Cathcart and his wife Diane of Dracut, MA; her brother-in-law, David Price of Lowell, MA; her great-grandchildren, Anthony Jack and Beau Michael of Lynnfield, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by a procession to Edson Cemetery, 1375 Gorham Street, Lowell where interment of her ashes will be held.
