Eleanor May Eggleton

Eleanor "Ellie" May Eggleton, a resident of Tawas City since 1980, formerly a resident of Wyandotte, Michigan since 1950, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the Iosco County Medical Care Facility in Tawas City, age 96 years. Ellie was born in Charleston, West Virginia on July 23, 1929 to the late John Kenneth and Clara May (Thomas) Hall. She attended Chelyan Schools as a young lady. She married her husband, Russell Eggleton in Miami, West Virginia on August 22, 1950. During her life, Ellie loved attending church and was able to help raise her extended nieces and nephews. Ellie is survived by her nephew Larry (Abby) Olds; great nieces and nephews; Michael (Tina) Biggs, Michelle (Brian) Watts, Russell (Renee) Olds, and Robert (Sharry) Olds; 12 great great nieces and nephews; and 6 great great great nieces and nephews. Ellie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; niece, Maryann (George) Biggs; 4 sisters; and 1 brother. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will celebrate her life at a later date and she will be laid to rest in the Whittemore Saint James Cemetery.
