CHARLOTTE - Eleanor Kathryn "Nora" Huff, precious daughter of Meghan and David Huff, passed peacefully from this earth on May 15, 2025 at Levine Children's Hospital. After bravely facing a diagnosis of Leukemia in addition to a rare genetic condition, USP9X syndrome, Nora was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death. Nora was born on August 3, 2022. Her strong spirit was immediately evident and an inspiration to many.
Throughout her life, Nora brought joy to all who knew her. She had radiant blue eyes, bouncy blonde curls, and was a shining light, especially when she'd share one of her toothy grins. Nora loved being around people, particularly her family, playing outside with chalk and bubbles, going for walks in the neighborhood and pretending with her ice cream cart and tea set. She gave the best hugs and snuggles.
She is survived by her parents, Meghan and David Huff, her big sister, Nellie and her grandparents: Joan (Jojo) and Robert (Bobby) Sweeney, Kathy (Nana) Smith and Steve (Papa) Huff, all of Charlotte, NC. In addition, her memory will be carried by her loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church (3016 Providence Rd, Charlotte, NC, 28211) followed by a reception at Legion Brewing South Park (5610 Carnegie Blvd, Charlotte, NC, 28209). We ask that attendees wear light/bright colors to honor Nora's spirit.
