Eleanor Lorraine (Cadieux) Luck, known affectionately as Ellen, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, at the age of 91. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Luck, a World War II veteran, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.
Ellen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by her children, Kathleen E. (Luck) Valera, who passed in 2016, and William E. Luck, a Vietnam veteran who passed in 1986 at the age of 33. Despite these profound losses, Ellen remained a pillar of strength and warmth for those around her.
She found joy in simple pleasures—tending to her yard, enjoying the beauty of nature, and sharing laughter with friends. Her home was always a welcoming place, filled with kindness, love, and cherished memories.
Ellen is survived by her loving grandchildren: Jayson Amirault, Damien Mickey, and Tanya Smith. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Tad Smith.
Her gentle spirit, resilience, and unwavering love for family will be remembered always. A private service will be held to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a veteran’s organization of choice in Ellen’s memory.
May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved family.
