Jared Luck

Born October 18th, 1974 in Portland, Oregon

Died suddenly on January 29th, 2026 in Albany, Oregon. Jared was 51 years old.

He is survived by his parents, John and Sue Luck of Portland, Oregon; Debra and Bob Meeds of Albany, Oregon. Jared was the oldest child. His sisters are Colleen Luck of Albany and Maryanne Luck of Maryland. His step siblings are Teena Mortensen of Washington;Tracey, Brandee, Heather, and Kathleen Meeds; Eddie, Erin, and Jacob Mabe.

Jared never married or had children. His cat was Molly. He attended Reynolds High school in Portland, Mt. Hood Community College in Portland, Portland State University, and Linn-Benton Community College. Jared had been clean and sober for over 20 years.

Jared moved to Albany in 2020. He attended Valley Christian Center and lifted weights four days a week at Physic. Jared loved Jesus, his home groups, and Band of Brothers. Jared loved growing a big garden every year, to tithe to the church, and buying gifts for his nieces and nephews. Jared was looking forward to watching the Seahawks win the Superbowl! Jared liked Trader Joe's, Jamba Juice, Nike shoes, seeing Judah at McDonald's, and Valley Christian Center.

There will be a Celebration of Life!

Saturday, February 21st at 11 am at Valley Christian Center, 577 Scravel Hill Rd NE in Albany.

In lieu of flowers; donations can be made through the church. Please designate if it is to help with his final expenses or for Adult and Teen Challenge.
