Eleanor Marasciulo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Costa Memorial Home on Jan. 8, 2026.
Eleanor A. Marasciulo (nee Conti) 93, of Wood-Ridge passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving children. Born on May 8, 1932, Eleanor lived a life marked by compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to family and friends.

She was the cherished daughter of Bart and Rose Conti, beloved wife of the late Gabriel Costantino and the late Vincent Marasciulo. Eleanor was a devoted mother to Sam, Janice and Rosemarie Costantino, John and Bart Marasciulo.

Eleanor is a long-time resident of Wood-Ridge and a long-time parishioner of the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady in Wood-Ridge. She and her late husband, Vincent, raised five children. She is blessed with seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is loved by her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Eleanor has been an avid supporter of her church and parish for 55 years. A former Eucharistic Minister, she often travelled to deliver the Eucharist to the sick and elderly. A member of the Bereavement group, she provided solace to those mourning the death of their loved one. She also represented her parish as a volunteer in the Soup Kitchens of Newark and Paterson, often helping to cook, prepare and serve meals to the poor and homeless. She was very much appreciated by those affected in providing these services.

She was selfless, humble and proud woman. A woman who dedicated her life to her family, her faith in God and helping others. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Bart and Rose Conti, sisters, Catherine Colangelo and Rosemarie Talamo, her husbands, Gabriel Costantino and Vincent Marasciulo. Also predeceased by her eldest son, Sam Costantino. She is survived by her children, Janice Hans (Peter), Rosemarie Cristofolo (Dominick), John Marasciulo (Pam), Bart Marasciulo (Maria) and Daughter-in-law Amy Romanowski. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Erica PInkler (Todd), Sam Costantino (Ally), Frank Costantino, Dominick Cristofolo (Jack DiPiazza), Angela Latorre (Ryan), Vincent and Gianna Marasciulo and her two great grandchildren, Ruby and Ryan.

Eleanor's legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
