Lee Alan Decker, of Garfield, NJ passed away peacefully at the age of 83.

Born in Andersen, Indiana and raised in rural Michigan, Lee attended Okemos High School and served in the United States Army before attending Michigan State University. An industrial engineer/production manager, Lee worked for Hoover Ball and Bearing, Ford Motor Company, and Howmedica throughout his career. Lee was the Production Manager for American Aluminum Company in Mountainside, NJ for over 20 years.

An avid collector and meticulous organizer, Lee enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years including fishing, hunting, gardening, bowling, wood working, and coin and stamp collecting. Lee was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church, Maywood where he served as Treasurer and President.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Marion (Boiko). He was also the loving father of two daughters: Kristen Panagiotou and her husband Steven of Ramsey, NJ and Jennifer Kilroy and her husband Stephen of Mendham, NJ. He was the proud grandfather (Papa) of three grandchildren: Katharine Lapolla and her husband Brendan, and Emily and Maxton Kilroy. Lee is also survived by his sister Jean Cyphert of AZ and brother Leslie Decker II of FL. Lee was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Marylouise Decker (Bekaert) of Williamston, MI. Lee will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Lee's life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church in Maywood,NJ. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM and a Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are being handled by Costa Memorial Home in Hasbrouck Heights.
