Eleanor Muller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home - Westerly on Mar. 2, 2026.
Stonington - Eleanor Mae Muller, 91, of Stonington Road, Wequetequock, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026 after a brief illness.

She was born in Mystic, daughter of the late Benjamin J. Burdick and May Davidson. She married Frank R. Muller Jr. at the United Church in Stonington Oct. 27, 1961.

Eleanor was a past president of the Pawcatuck VFW and volunteered there for many years. She was also an accomplished Baker and was known for her delicious apple pies and chocolate chip cookies. She won many ribbons at state fairs with her baked goods.

Eleanor loved going boating with her husband Frank. They spent countless hours catching blue shell crabs from their boat dock in the Wequetequock cove. She was also a devoted Homemaker. She loved to do needlepoint, knitting and crocheting and made many hats, scarves and Afghans for family and friends. Eleanor really shined in the kitchen which she fondly called her workshop. She took great joy in cooking for her family. She could cook and bake just about anything. She even baked wedding cakes.

Eleanor was a very hard worker who took great pride in taking care of her household and property. She could be seen very often raking leaves and up until this January, clearing snow. Eleanor was a dedicated wife to Frank for 42 years. They spent many Winters in Florida together and traveled often. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Stonington. Eleanor had a dear friend Mary Kearsch whose friendship she treasured.

Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Sandra Robinson Constable (Dave), and Eleanor D. Robinson; sons, John W. Robinson and Frank R. Muller III (Marie); as well as stepdaughters, Deborah Muller Robbins, and Melanie Muller Hartley (Bill); also 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
