Eleanor M. Santen

Eleanor Mary Santen, 94, of Clifton, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023. Born in Garfield, Eleanor was raised in Clifton where she lived for most of her life. She attended Drake Business School and had been employed by the Prudential Insurance Co. in Newark and then the Clifton Dairy.
Eleanor was predeceased in 2008 by her beloved husband of 60 years, Harry James Santen. Jr. and her sister, Violet Spaulding.
Eleanor was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton and was a member of the Montclair Beach Club for over 40 years.
Eleanor loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also was an avid nature lover, especially watching the birds and rabbits in her backyard. Being a beach – lover, she frequented Wildwood Crest, Cape May and Avon. She and Harry enjoyed travelling to Italy and their many cruises to Bermuda.
Survivors include her five devoted children, Patricia Santen of Morristown, Barbara Ramondini and her husband, Joseph of Long Valley, Karen Kenzik of Wayne, Diane McKeown and her husband Robert of Verona and Robert Santen and his wife, Lisa of Morristown; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 19th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's New Jersey, 425 Eagle Rock Avenue, #203, Roseland, NJ 07068 ( www.alznj.org).
