Obituary of Eleanore Helen Crannell
Crannell, Eleanore Helen, 101 years old passed away Tuesday evening, April 16, 2024 at St. Francis Nursing Home. Eleanore was born August 3, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late Lawrence and Josephine (Maksimowicz) Olszewski. Eleanore was united in marriage to Harry J. "Crash" Crannell on May 10, 1941. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1995.
Eleanore enjoyed volunteering at Saginaw General Hospital for 40 years and golfing at Maple Hill Golf Course. She was very active in doing several facets for her church, St. Dominic's Catholic Church- St. Peter and Paul site.
Eleanore is survived by her children; Richard (Shelly) Crannell, Barbara Strange, Patricia Crannell and Gregory (Carol) Crannell, grandchildren; John, Annie, Dana, Scott, Sean, Phillip, Brandon and Bryan, great-grandchildren; Mari, Max and Henry and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband "Crash", Eleanore was preceded in death by a son; Thomas, granddaughter; Kelly and 6 brothers and sisters.
FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 12:00 PM from St. Dominic's Catholic Church-St. Stephen's Site. Fr. Jack Johnson will officiate. Committal services to follow at Oakwood Mausoleum.
VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass.
MEMORIAL: In Lieu of flowers, those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Francis Home, 915 N. River Rd. Saginaw, MI 48609.
