Eleftherios Halkias Obituary

Eleftherios was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend whose warm smile, generous spirit, and joyful presence touched everyone who knew him. He had a lifelong passion for Greek music and especially cherished dancing the Tsamiko. The melodies of the Trio Bel Canto were among his favorites, and he shared that love with all around him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Constantina; his children, Dr. Alexandria Halkias (Shawn Novotney), Helen (John) Pavlidis and Dr. Louis Halkias (Dr. Katerina Smyrniotis-Halkias); and his beloved grandchildren, Kyle Novotney, Dr. Eleftherios Halkias, Irene Pavlidis, Kostantinos Halkias, and Constantina Pavlidis.
Eleftherios will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the joy he brought to others. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation, Friday, November 21, 2025 from 11:45 a.m. until time of Funeral service 12:15 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church 2350 W. Dempster St. Des Plaines, IL. 60016.
