Elena Burke Obituary

Elena Burke, 85, lifelong resident of Belleville, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025. Born in Harrison, NJ, Elena was the daughter of the late Dominick and Theresa (Landi) Galiano. She belonged to the St. Mary Rosary Society. A devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family. The beloved wife of the late Edward Burke, Elena is survived by her children Edward J. Burke, Jr., Michael Burke (April), Mary Beth Rahn (Jason), and Donna Fallon (Chris), and four grandchildren Gabriella, Bryan, Dominick, and Seraphina. She was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Galiano and Mollie Cassidy.
The funeral will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 9:30AM from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM at St. Mary's Church in Nutley.
The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday, September 15th from 4:00PM – 8:00PM.
