Eleanor G. Ackerknecht Soules died peacefully on May 25, 2025. Born to William E. Ackerknecht and Eleanor H. Ackerknecht on November 25, 1932. The youngest of seven siblings. Our mom lived a simple life for many years by herself until most recently with her daughter, Stacy, and then in her final days in the nursing home. Mom's greatest joy was being with her family and seeing her two grandsons. She had a love for animals that was immeasurable. She was known in her neighborhood for taking care and feeding all the stray cats. Anyone that knew her knew she loved to play bingo at various bingo halls. Mom is survived by her daughters Theresa Parillo (Albert) Stacy Soules (John Schermerhorn). Grandsons Gregory (Erica) and Scott (Jennifer). Also two great grand sons, Luke and Joey. A very special niece, Michelle Isabella (Dan) and many others nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father and six siblings, Emil, Robert, Milford, Walter, Elizabeth and Marie. We love you mom and will miss you always. May you Rest In Peace. Burial will be private at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Donations can be made in Elenore's name to The Fulton County Regional SPCA, Inc. 117 W. Fulton St. P.O. Box 1274 Gloversville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, NY 12078.
