Elenora Marie Fruh

Elenora "Nora" Fruh, 86, of Westlake passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at a local hospital. She was born on September 29, 1930 in Lake Charles, LA to parents Captain Daniel Goss Jessen and Beulah LeLeux Jessen. She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Mrs. Fruh graduated from St. Charles Academy and worked 20 years at Calcasieu Parish Food Stamp Office. She was married to Charles D. Fruh of Barnes, KS, for 57 years. She was a homemaker and friend to many people whom she met in her life. Her joy in life was spending time taking care of her children and grandchildren, as well as oil painting. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and laughter. She always provided a bright, loving and cheerful home for her family. We all looked forward to going home to spend time with her.

She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Regan of Moss Bluff, Roxanne Whitstine and husband Duane of DeQuincy, Deborah Williams and husband Greg of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren, Justin Whitstine and wife Amanda of Carlyss, Amanda Regan of LaFayette, Rachel Whitstine of Youngsville, Alan and Elizabeth Williams of The Woodlands, TX; along with great grandchildren, June and Marie Whitstine, Jaylynn Guillott. She also is survived by her sister, Leola Rougeou of Lake Charles.


Nora was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Fruh; her parents, as well as her brothers, Edward Rougeou and Benny Jessen.

Services will be held at St. John Bosco Catholic Church of Westlake on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 12:00pm with her friend Deacon Garrett Caraway officiating. Visitation will be at St. John Bosco Catholic Church on Saturday starting at 10:00am with a Rosary at 11:00am, with the service following. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery.
