Eleny Inegues, age 85 of Simpsonville, Kentucky entered into Glory on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Eleny was born on November 15, 1940, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She worked as a hairdresser for 30 years and was part of the Hairdressers Association of Sao Paulo. Eleny was married to Alides Inegues Goncalves (now deceased) on May 18, 1963. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2023.
After her husband retired, he and Eleny moved to the countryside where they embraced a peaceful life together. They found joy in raising chickens and ducks, and they took great pride in their land—growing, harvesting, drying, and roasting their own coffee. Their yard was a vibrant garden, filled with many varieties of fruits and vegetables that they enjoyed throughout the seasons.
Eleny had a beautiful spirit and loved the Lord. She loved to sing and was talented at crocheting. Above all, she cherished the simple pleasures of life: enjoying a few sweets and spending precious time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eleny leaves to cherish her memory her children, Anderson and Anderly (Hans); daughter-in-law, Helena; grandchildren, Bianca (Isaque), Vanessa (Rafael), David (Lydia), Heidi (Sam), Sabrina (Haddon) and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Mateus, Colton, Josef, Rebeca, Ivan, Quinn, Heinrich, and Leo; sister, Lauricy; extended family, niece, Wanger(Sillas); and a host of family and friends.
A gathering for family and friends will be at 10:30am, and a celebration of Eleny's life will be at 11am on Friday, April 3, 2026 at The Reformed Baptist Church of Louisville, 3400 Wilderness Trail, Louisville, Kentucky 40299. Burial will be private at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
