Eleonore Anita Adolini of Hagerstown passed away on October 15, 2025 at Twin Oaks Assisted Living in Williamsport. She was the wife of Charles Adolini, who died September 2, 1999.
She was born January 14, 1928 in Wiesloch, Germany, the daughter of Paul and Anna Steinmann. She came to Hagerstown in 1960, and retired from Washington County Hospital Physical Therapy Department after 22 years of employment.
She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Beaver Creek, MD. Her biggest joy in life was her family. She loved cooking, baking, flower gardening, growing house plants, decorating and traveling.
She and her husband visited many states and countries.
Eleonore is survived by her daughter Anita (Cruickshanks) Wade and husband Bruce of Hagerstown; sons Gary Glocker and wife Suzanne of Hagerstown, Gunter Glocker and wife Rubina of Silver Spring, MD, Gordon Cruickshanks and wife Wanda of Waynesboro, PA; two brothers of Germany, seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild, multiple nieces and nephews and their families in the USA and in Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Adolini, second husband Stanley Cruickshanks, and first husband Helmut Glocker; sister Maria Wolters of Hagerstown; five brothers of Germany, and grandson Karl Glocker.
At her request, a private service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Regina Beard officiating.
Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
