Elice Blankenship, 89, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025. He was born on January 17, 1936, in Greenville, Texas, to Wise and Rosa Blankenship.

Elice served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. While his time spent in the Marines, he learned how to box. He wasn't someone you wanted to put gloves on and go against, and the outcome would be even worse bare-knuckled. He also learned the values of hard work and honesty. Also, perfecting how to be a grouch during that time spent in the Marines. Something he carried home with him, and he was famous for.

He loved watching Westerns and enjoyed many things in life. What he was known best for was being a good Daddy. His family loved him dearly, and he loved his family. He was a hard-working man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wanda Blankenship, sons: Jimmy Blankenship, Michael Blankenship, siblings: Beulah, Elmer, Siddel, Hellon, Billy, and grandson, David Leon Gaskey, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: David Blankenship, Paula Gaskey, Teressia Crowder, Jeff Blankenship, Keith Blankenship, grandchildren: Wanda Gaskey, Bobbie Gaskey, Michelle Blankenship, Michael Blankenship, Clint Blankenship, Christy Blankenship, Justin Blankenship, Tina Brown, Bailey Blankenship, Leah Blankenship,and many great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
