Elida L. Rocha

Elida L. Rocha was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 16, 1947, and went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2025, at the age of 78. Elida married Irineo C. Rocha who was the love her life on October 14, 1972, at San Martin de Porres. Elida attended Burleson Elementary, Escobar Junior High, and graduated from Edgewood High School where she participated in the pep squad. She then became a nurse's aide and a loving care giver. In her later years she was a lifetime member at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church where she joined the St. Vincent de Paul Society and was Vice President for 3 terms. Also, at Our Lady of Good Counsel she was a member of the Guadalupana's Society where she was Secretary for 2 terms and enjoyed being a part of the Spanish choir. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Elida became a widow on May 19, 1991, when her beloved husband Irineo C. Rocha passed away. She is also preceded in death by her father Candelario Lopez, mother Mercedes Espronceda Lopez, and four siblings. Survivors include her loving sister Olivia E. Lopez, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and other family members and dear friends.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Palm Heights Mortuary with a rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with a procession from the funeral home. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
