Modesto, California - Elijah Gomez Colvin, beloved, cherished son of Mark A. Colvin of Modesto, was born on September 14, 2008 and passed into God's arms on Friday, January 30th, due to complications from a routine procedure.
Elijah was a junior at Beyer High School and played six seasons at Bell Passi. An avid gamer, he built friendships with players across the western United States. Known for his loving spirit and easy nature, he had a wide circle of friends throughout the Modesto area. In his short 17 years, Elijah traveled to more than 30 states and was deeply loved by his large extended family across Central California.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Friday, February 13th at 10:30 am at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with reception to follow the funeral service. The family invites friends and loved ones to wear something red in honor of Elijah's favorite color.

Elijah,
You have been a part of my life since you were a baby. I will forever treasure the memories we made. Several Summer days, holidays, baseball games, Halloweens. Monopoly, even though you and Kai made sure I never won. You two would be lending each other money, bailing each other out of monopoly jail. You brought so much love and light into our lives. I will miss you deeply and will carry you with me. I'm so glad I got to get one last hug. Even though you and Kai didn't hang out as much, he never stopped calling you his cousin. You will always be my nephew. You will be missed immensely.
