Elijah “Eli” Manning Heacock, 16, of Glasgow, passed away Friday, February 28,2025, at the University of Louisville Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 17, 2008, to John Burnett and Shannon Cronister Heacock who survive.
To know Eli, was to know a young man who had a spirit all his own. He was someone who, when he smiled, lit up the room, and when he laughed, you couldn’t help but join in. His heart, though tender, was wide enough to care deeply for others, even when the world seemed to weigh heavily on his shoulders. He will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, and the way he made those around him feel seen.
Eli was a proud student of Caverna Independent Schools where he cherished all his teachers and classmates. He was involved in numerous school clubs and sports where he always gave 110%. Eli was also a faithful member of The Way Church, where he loved to share his love for God.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his siblings, Ethan Heacock, Isaac Heacock, Americus Nation, Channing Burnett, and Palin Heacock; bonus brothers, Erell Bailey and Gabby Colon; niece, Tatum; grandparents, Donna and Daniel Darco, John and Patsy Burnett, Papa Art, Tanya and Jennifer Cater, Metissa “Chocolate Tissa”, and Twanna Rochelle; god father, Labo “BoBo”; aunts and uncles, Scott and Devonda Cronister, Robert Lopau, Tina Lawless, Kenny Cronister, Kaitlin Fancher; cousins, Starla and Devin Lopau, Hayden and Haley Cronister; best friend, Harrison; his savior GiGi, Caden, Zandon, Kaylie, Mylee, and Myrah; the whole Caverna cheer team; and his school family.
Services for Eli will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 6, 2025, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, beginning at 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM, and Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
