Mary Collins Rutledge, born on June 29, 1947, in Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away on February 7, 2026, at Norton's Brownsboro Hospital. She was a beloved member of her community, known for her warm spirit and generous heart.
Mary's life was characterized by her rich relationships and passions. She took great joy in shopping, caring for her grandchildren, and attending church. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel to wonderful destinations, particularly to Hawaii and Disney World, which she cherished deeply.
Mary will be profoundly missed by her loving husband, Jerry Rutledge, and her devoted son, Jonathan Rutledge. Her family legacy continues with her siblings, including her brother, Lee Royce Collins (Bonnie), and her sisters, Jane Collins and Phila Chambers (Sammy). She was also a cherished figure in the lives of her "adopted" grandchildren, Nahomy, Christian, Dylan, and Jazlynn. In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her sister Judy Trabue and brother-in-law Joe Trabue, along with her beloved parents, William Thompson Collins and Edna Jane (Gosnell) Collins.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 11th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, and Wednesday, until time for the funeral at the funeral home.
Mary Collins Rutledge leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever resonate within the hearts of those who knew her.
