Lawrence attended and graduated from Spotswood High School in Penn Laird, and he was devoted to his church; East Rockingham Church of the Nazarene, where he served faithfully in several capacities. Among his greatest gifts was the constant smile on his face and his heart's desire to help others.

Falls (Crystal), Derrin "Scott" Falls (Sheryl), Bruce "Lee" Falls (Sarai) and Tracey Falls, all of Elkton; one sister, Stacey Kumar (Ravinder) of Grottoes; two nieces, LaToya Russell of North Carolina and Alishia Madden of Keezletown; numerous aunts and uncles, many who loved him.
